The new Shimano Antares AX Light Feeder rod has been put through its paces and reviewed by Angling Times' chief tackle tester Dave Woodmansey. Dave tells it like it is and he couldn't do anything but praise the entire Antares AX feeder range. However, the Light and Medium feeder designs particularly caught his eye: "The two lightest models are probably the best feeder rods that Shimano has ever built."
He also states: "All the AX feeder rods share the same drop-dead gorgeous cosmetics - from the slimline burgundy blanks and gold graphics to the sexy metallic flashes on the butt section. Visually they're so good that I actually found myself trying not to slime them up too badly. I can't remember when that last happened."
After taking the Anatares AX Light Feeder rod out for a Live Test, Dave summed up the performance of the rod in his verdict: "A STUNNING light feeder rod that combines sensitivity with a surprising amount of power. You'll wish you had one in your holdall this winter, so you'd better get saving up!"
